darn... i can never be consistant with this kind of english-related stuffs like blogging and reading...

i was like telling myself to blog some stuff regarding the sec2 camps and till now nothing have been done... sec2 camp was real fun (being in ah bao's grp that what that make it so fun!)

well, the 1st day, we were assembled into grps and i was in 19, leader was ah bao.. then grp 22 dont have a leader cos she was sick, so ah bao took both grps at the same time. soon after we settled down, we started with ice breaking (be very afraid bo rui, we are going to break you..lolz) which is what we always do at the begining of such stuff... then we have to think of a name for the grp and draw a "flag" for the grp. lolz our falg rox... we named our team "slackerz". haha.. then we were provided a big piece of white cloth and a packet of small pathetic crayons.... since we are "slackers", we didnt actually do a good job with the flag.. we practically just scribble with the crayons and the word "slackers" with many colourful lines in the middle of the flag.. the rest on the flag was like colourful lines everywhere and strokes haha... and of course not to forget the smilies =) <-- jia da and wilson's trademark.. lolz... grp 22 named themselves "gay club" HAHA XD (thanks to ppl like Aki...) then ah bao is like so appealed by gay club... and keep trying to "gay" with gay club haha.... and Aki claimed that ah bao is a potential chairman of the club haha...
as usual, we are supposed to answer "OI!" when the leaders call out our grp name. since ah bao had 2 grps that day, it was a bit of a hussle...

Ah Bao: Slackers OI!

Slacker: oi... ("slackily" lolz)

Ah Bao: Gay Club (lets call it GC for short..) Oi....(gayly)

GC: Oi... (gayly with the famous gay hand point...)

Ah Bao: everybody OI!

Slackers+GC : oi...

Aki: since one is slacker and 1 is GC, why dont you just say Gay Slackers Oi instead of Every1 Oi

even ah bao had to go on his knees to admit defeat.. lolz

then he got every1 to squeeze (doing the clench fist action) and every1 practically squeezed him.. with ppl like Jia Da of course to push every1 towards Ah Bao... and he was so claustrophobic... haha.. and he said " you guys can do anything to me and have fun with me, but you ppl cannot do 1 thing to me and that is to gay with me!" lolz

well after "drawing" (scribbling the flag for us rather) the flag, we were told to protect our flags as other grps will steal the flags from us.. well actually we were more offensive then defensive... we stole a total of i think about 7 flags lah... so if your grp cant find your flag, its most probably with us.. lolz.. and we ARE very good at it.. we can start a thief guild... haha will elaborate as we move on...

then we went on with tent pitching... this is where we started stealing the first flag... and the victim was Sam's grp.. sam was the flag guard of the grp... when we were pitching the tents, sams flag was like hanging loosely in his hands and i was pointing that put to jia xin who was beside me. then he went on to "steal" it (it was clean though, not any "evil" method lolz) how did he do it? well it was simple. sam was having a bit of difficulty when he was pitching his tent while we had finished. so JX decided to "help" sam. so it was very simple.

JX: "hey sam, i help you hold your flag then you can pitch your tent better"

(some time after sneaking back to our own tent...)

JX: "ai ya sam, i help you pitch your tent lah.. go take a break.."

its like he didnt realise at all! not a bit!! it was soon when it was lunch time then he realised.. lunch was right after tent pitching... when sam questioned JX bout the flag, of course JX must act like nothing happened. then he was like saying he passed the flag to me.... and of course i dont want to get myself into trouble, i must think fast, and act fast. "no... i gave you back the flag already what..." ha... and sam was soo devastated... haha the camp activities had yet to start and he got his flag stolen.. haha

b4 lunch we were supposed to have a drink-along session.. every1 was to take out their bottles and go "YUM................... SENG!" but Ah Bao had taught us b4 hand what to do instead of yum seng. since we are gay slackers(GS) we were to go ""讨厌，讨厌，讨厌。。。。。。喝吗！" lolz

never had i drank sooo much tap water in my life, till i got into the camp.. and my water bottle was too big for the basin so i got wangster(又是Wang Lin!) to help me with it by filling his own bottle then fill my bottle..

then b4 lunch AB(ah bao) made us do the meal chant:

its quite nice actually..

so lunch... it sux... the food sux... the vege have no taste, the whatever-that-is is too sour, the rice is too plain and hard.... oh crap... and the fish is YUCK! though i LOVE fish.... it sux sooo badly, i threw the container away only after a few mouthfuls although i was starving...

then after lunch we are suppose to go for our skills learning.. you have to choose 1 of em.... kayaking, dragon boating, knots and lashing, 1st aid, outdoor cooking and map orienting and problem solving..i think thats all...

i went for knots and lashing i had this interest with knots when i was in pri sch. i always got my friend to tied this knots and i will try to losen them again.. but i cant tie good knots though... anyway... at the knots and lashing station, we were to transport some poles and a box of ropes to a ground nearby where we learn some stuff... so we learn how to do a square lashing, afterwhich we have to do a square frame... and square lashing is just to bind 2 poles together with the rope which will sorta form a square shape at the end thus called square lashing.. after getting 2 poles bind, we have to bind 4 ropes bind, making a square frame.. well i did single job though we can do in grps. the instructor wasnt kind enuf to go around to help ppl.. so i had to go and ask her several times... its quite frustrating though.. and cos im doing singles, it went quite slowly.. and its quite stressing too cos you can see every1 finishing their square frames while im still doing a square lashing -.-" then those who had finished with their square frame will have to make a furniture out of the poles after learning the skills. some made tables some made triangular chairs whatever.. i never reached that stage and when the assigned grps which are supposed to make furniture finished with their creation, the time is almost up. and THATS when i fished my square frame.. just showed her not more than a minute then have to break everything down already.. but she said the knots were well tied and strong.. a sense of satisfaction.. Single leh! some do group also cannot do tight knots..

then after that we assembled for another drink-along session, b4 the adventure race. the adventure race is just going aroung chinese gardens doing tasks with the skills we learnt earlier on. so they announced where shld each grp where to go to, to start the race where their 1st task is. when it reached slackers, it was said rafting. then i was "xia dow-ed" (-ian tui). cos the 1st item i thought required knots and lashing already. so i quickly run through my mind on how to do those lashing and frame again.. but then when we reached the area, the rafts are already there! (well its just like 6 pipes or whatever forming the word 田 with tyres attached at each corner) and the task was to sail with as many ppl as possible in the limited time to the other side of the river and come back... so wheres the knots and wheres the lashing? beats me.. -.-" well luckily the time ran out b4 i was to go down.. i dont want to go down cos whenever i see those ppl coming back up from the waters their pure white socks turned brown.. YUCK! and im not wearing the older shoe of mine, i wore the new shoe which i bought b4 the camp.. so whew!

then was outdoor cooking. we have to cook an egg in an orange... how fun! but when asked, no one in the grp claimed to have gone for the outdoor cooking skill learning! so we were much of a green horn... but we did manage to cook the stupid egg in the orange skin after many failed attempts to light up the fire...

i think next was map orienting.. it was stupid.. from the starting point of the station, we have to calculate the bearing from where to stand to other part named A, B, C, D on the map... only those who went for map for the skill learning do the job, the others were just walking.. and walking... and walking behind the guy.. so wilson and jia da decided to kill time by rolling up their sleeves to tan themselves under the hot sun as we strolled along... XD

problem solving was a great time for some person after map cos they can sit down to rest their weary legs (other words: slack) we were to build up a tent, all members blind-folded except 2 who gives instructions.. so jia da and wilson sat down by the tree and slack.. of course when building the tent we need to move around.. so jia da and wilson kept saying "watch out for old ppl.." to make sure ppl dont step them.. haha.. finally when we "finished" with the tent, it was not a tent... the cover was on the wrong side i think.. cant remember.. oh nvm bout that but the reminding parts are pretty good..

next was kayaking.. this one was pretty fun cos everyone gets to have a try and the shoe wouldnt go into the water that much to turn brown... i think its here that we stole grp 18's the dragons flag.. (who ask them to get some idiots like ru jin to be the flag guard... he left it below the tree with all the water bottles) and jia da was very smart.. any flags stolen were quickly tied onto the waist of one and cover it up with the shirt.. who would ever suspect that? ;-) well i went down to the kayak with wangster(who have been my camp partner all along..) and an advice: never take the back seat cos the front person keeps splashing water back at you... but overall i must say kayaking is the most fun...

we went for 1st aid next.. but jia da and wilson were missing when we reached the station.. so jia xin went to find them.. but they were back soon when jia xin left.. so in the end we had to wait for jia xin... anyway.. when every1 was back, we were told that the 3 person who went for 1st aid skill learning were to step out to teach the grp on the 3 basic bandages, the sclap bandage, the knee bandage and the arm.. its quite natural that wangster went for 1st aid.. st john de... so they taught us and we experiment ourselves. then the instructor randomly chose (didnt get me! whew!) ppl to be the victim and the 1st aider and do the bandage up.. everything was fine, but the instructor didnt like the way we removed the reef knot.. but the 3 ppl who went for the skill learning claimed that they didnt teach how to correctly remove a reef knot, though wangster knows(st john de...) so he showed me and i experiment with my shoe lace.. quite interesting.. so the instructor didnt give us points until the later attempts which resulted in lesser points.. then b4 we leave we were given a chance to redeem more points by cheering the grp cheer.. well since we are slackers, we dont intend to come up with a new 1 so we used the Go, Fight, Win! just that we modified a little...:
