'in recording, you need to be perfect. in live performaces, you aim to be perfect' -jovan neo

well thats what that jovan told me after my first day of recording for the mbs band cd.. i didnt get to go for the 2nd day's recording due to BSP camp the next day.. nor did i get to attend the official launching of the CD due to BSP china trip..

anyway.. the time to lament over these is already over... the main pt now is.. i just got the CD today! i got one complimentary for my participation and just get 3 more, 1 for ed, 1 for kh and 1 for spare... wah $20 each leh...

i was so nervous when i 1st listened to it.. i mean, like who wouldnt be nervous be taste the fruit of his labour? i was listening anxiously for my parts etc to see if anything went wrong... perhaps its some kind of psychological-dampening spirit... most of the songs that i was involved in didnt sound quite right... overall im only abt 60% satisfied... some songs are way too slow.. and some songs the pitch sounds sharper than usual.. i still rem how the sound engineer and the producer diao me that day during recording abt the timpani consistantly going outta tune.. i tuned SOOOOOOO specifically all the timpanis till only the middle green light lights up lor... then they say that timpani shld be tuned slightly sharper cos the timpani sound settles after some time so it will sound flat.. well i heard of this for several time le but i aint sure.. i checked with jovan abt it but he felt that its more of personal preference.. well so i just did as what the producer says...now turn out that some songs sound outta tune.. actually some songs the entire band sounds sharper...and slower than usual for some pieces.. then theres a wall outside the staff rm thats like promoting the CD.. the entire wall is dedicated to the making of the CD.. the band.. tcher and conductor.. the songs included.. etc..

also intended to get the winter in 1730s score which i wanted to get inspiration from for the drum solo thing.. but it turned out that mr quake just loan em out.. for some reason all the origins and the photocopies.. >< so didnt get the scores in the end =-\ also heard that ms wee went on maturnity leave le.. for 3 wks liao.. heard its a very cute boy.. lol..

still listening to the fruits of our labour...
im back to a reality check once again...

zzz.... now im missing japan and beijing... ><

ok japan was fun... well could be more fun if we went to tokyo as planned.. we only stayed in kyoto (yea.. japs ran out of names to name their cities so they just rearrange the letters to form a new name..) for the entire trip cos the bullet train to tokyo and the cost of living in tokyo is very ex... so we ended up being in kyoto for the entire trip.. well its still alright la..

got to experience a lot of japanese culture.. their service attitude is OMG-ly EXCELLENT.. nowhere else can you find it.. like when you get down the bus, the driver will say to each and every one of the alighting comuters arigatou gozaimashita.. and the shopkeepers will just keep greeting customers and when they collect money, they will say how much they get from you and how much change to receive and thank you ( in jap of course..) but i didnt really get use to the food... ended up eating McDonalds for several meals... and cup noodles ;)

and theres this traffic light at the bus interchange that has some interesting cultural song instead of the usual 'beep beep beep's.. we called that the singing traffic light.. lol and i miss it.. theres also a lot of those bumps on the ground to guide the blind.. its EVERYWHERE... same goes of anime stuff.. THEY ARE EVERYWHERE... yea and i got the next yr sec 3s (thats leslie.. wilson and si yao..) pokemon figurines.. yea.. beautifly for leslie....

the rits super science fair, which was what we are really in japan for.., was quite good la.. except the language barrier that was hard to overcome.. speaking of language.. the americans were like so impressed that we could speak english.. esp with my accent... they were like WOW. its also kinda annoying when ppl keep asking us how do we speak 'singapore-ish'..'singaporean'.. whatever.. they meant to ask us for our native language... that also reminds me.. there was this drunken, a student of the university, we met at the uni hostel, who attempted to engage us in a conversation abt out language blah blah blah... his face was all red and he was reek of liquor.. and he kept saying 'i think.....(in some funny jap accent..)' as the beginning of his every sentence.. he began to annoy us as we were trying to cook instant noodles then... we couldnt get back and we have to ask a jap student whom we knew to help us shake that freak off... that was scary...

i also rem how i had to explain the word 'concentrated' to those jap ppl.. "you know oocha(tea)?
ok you have a lot of oocha, and you add a bit of mizu (water), that is concentrated. then little oocha, add a lot of mizu, that is not concentrated (note i didnt use the word diluted for i doubt they understand...)" i was saying all those in funny jap accent.. i also was trying to say pH4 to 6 in japanese.. "pH 'yong'(4) to pH 'rooku'(6).. haha that reminds me also an incident at the airport.. we were queeuing at the custom in japan, then the security guard was telling us 'go'. apparently 'go' is 5 in japanese but some of us didnt know at first and we 'go' ahead.. lolzx.....

ok dont want to get too long winded abt japan.. lets move on to china beijing..

well we spent 3 wks in beijing in our respective correspondants' homes. the family i was attached to was nice.. blah blah blah... been repeating that.. one classic example was the very fact that they gave me things that are worth abt SD$150.. (not including the meals.. extra water and electricity that i used.. transport... movies.. etc) i was like trying on this adidas sweater, and b4 that i had to take off my layers of coldwear. when i decided that i shld buy it, the father took it over from my hand without my attention and while i was wearing back my coldwears, he already swashed his credit card ><...

the transport is really intriguing... there are 2 to 3 door per bus, and you can board and alight the bus at any door. the ppl are always rushing up, regardless if its empty or not. oh speaking of that, the bus are not of 'siting', they are for standing.. that are only 2 rows of individual seats aligning the sides of the bus and the middle is empty for standing (somewhat like a MRT carraige but the seats are individual facing the front thats all..) then in every bus there would be at least 2 staff, 1 the driver, 1 the ticketing officer. so its like after you board the bus the officer will come to collect money from you for the ticket, or rather, you go to the officer for the tix cos the officer themselves are not very concerned..

i recall an incident where the ppl just refuse to give up at any cost. the bus was already packed and so that very packed that ppl are already standing at the steps of the door already and more ppl still dont care and try to squeeze up. in the end, they manage to get all of em in the bus (well techniqically IN the bus..) but then the door cannot close!! lolz! then the bus driver meng keep pressing the button to close the doors but the doors cannot close cos some ppl are like hanging onto the handles with some part of their body hanging out of the door... so after 1 or 2 min, one door closed, then after a few more seconds, the other door finally close. so the bus was like at the stop for abt 2 to 3 min just trying to close the doors.. and the communters themselves just wouldnt give up! lolz!!

oh another incident.. we were like at this area where its like orchard road, all the shops and everything, we board up this bus, and it is more or less also THAT PACKED.. so its like i couldnt hang onto any bars or handles cos im all surrounded by mi frens and other ppl.. but actually i also dont need la.. cos when the driver applies the brakes, i just have to fall back on the ppl behind me.. >< yes its that packed.. i was afraid that i might get suffocated for having so many ppl arnd me competiting for oxygen.. cos it happened to me a lot of times when i was in pri sch.. and err.. i think the best toilet i have been to during this whole trip is the toilet at.... the airport. i mean the changi airport...

well.. we tried to listen to the lessons.. but they were all in chinese.. maths sceinces all in chinese.. only 1 subject is in english and thats.. english ><... and their standard is considered average ba.. i mean.. even the tcher was so impressed by the what-we-call-short-essay.. they were all like what the... so long?? the essay jin hao wrote certainly aint his usual standard.. honestly, i suppose thats just... half? man.. till they see rui an's essays...

then during outings and everything have to be ever-ready during photographing times.. this trip has really exposed me to the job of a photographer.. it was a really good scope that i enjoy being in.. im really glad that i was the official photographer for the trip..

could have written more.. but i dont want to make it look too long and tidious...

missing japan and beijing.....

おはよう!

well.. have been really busy recently so i didnt really have a chance to blog..

despite the fact that the exams are over, i was still engaged with the trip to Japan as well as the project.. been working very closely with hoe wei for the poster since no one else seems to bother... helped to look up abt the railpass thingy for japan rails. both the poster and planning for trip *isnt really assigned to me* but no one else bothers so i just have to initiate. and i have the presentation to do alone. arrange blazers collection.. consant forms... alot of things that isnt supposed to be my responsibility just came under me suddenly.. really need to thank hoe wei, just joined us only and so N2-ly involved with the project.. really thank you ryan.. thank goodness that lcy phoned up to volunteer to help me do the presentation regarding the school etc.. really lift me off some pressure..

well will be off to Japan soon.. so dont really have time to blog le... after come back from Japan still have the China trip. can only rest for one day and have to head towards china already.. what a packed holiday.. if for some reason you want to waste your money to contact me, im still contactable with my old number.

well too excited to blog on le...

burnt off sept hols...

slept barely 4hrs everyday..

in exchange FOR A 1ST IN BIOTECH FAIR & $1000!!

wohooo! finally, the 3 days of biotechfair + 7 days of preparation have ended! it was a very rewarding experience despite the fact that i was very pissed with it at certain times...

during the days of preparation, since wed of the hols to 3 days ago, i have been sleeping at 2am everyday, either doing the poster, or the powerpoint. one of the most ridiculous day was monday, where we worked in school right after lessons, ALL the way till 9pm, after which the gates have to close and we went to the boarding school with mr goh and continued to work there. ALL THE WAY TO 11.30PM.... it was like some castasropic lightning storm happening that day.. it was raining SOOOO badly..

then tuesday they went off to set up the poster but i have to stay back since mr goh said 3 is enough and that they have to come back to sch in taxi later.. so i stayed in sch to do up the ppt and edit some parts.. (at lest dont have to screamed at by mr goh when he sees the poster ^^) when they got back we went to the study area to 'present' the ppt. at 1st we proceeded with the usual presenters, thats argon and lcy (+ ryan too, since he is more certain of his zone-inhibition part) then gohyy gave the same comments as the day b4 that argon is presenting way too slowly and hoe wei is too soft and slowly and lcy still has the bad habit of shaking his legs while presenting, else he can present quite well... anyway, then mr goh wanted to access my presenting abilities and made me present the ENTIRE thing once thru. i was like... can make me present just a part to access me then i familiarise the parts i have to present... but anyway, i ploughed thru the ENTIRE ppt.. i had a good start and gohyy was happy. he said i have the passionate and convincing and confident tone in me.. i was like =X.... then he insisted that how-so-ever we distribute the parts to present, i MUST start off the project since i can attract the attention.. just took those comments and went on.. then lcy had a go thru also and goh decided that lcy and i present for the biotech fair. i was SHOCKED. but its kinda ok since i still have a day of preparation.. i cant do things when last minute.. i get SHOCKED.

on wed i only had 1 lesson and i have to go off to the science centre already. we quickly got our prototypes and head for science centre. there was still a lot to do then, since i have not finish editing parts of the ppt the nite b4 (which i also stayed till 2...) and lcy and i didnt have another chance to practice together.. so we quickly set up our booth with our prototypes while i edit the ppt in a corner to prevent some peeping toms... when thru a few times with lcy and he 'give a lot of comments'.. it was inevitable that we got angry with each other half way since we were so stressed... it was abt 11 am then. we were expected to present to the judges at abt 1pm. then i wasnt feelin that bad yet since i still have time. then as we have our catered lunch at abt 12noon, we recieved news that we have to present earlier, anytime from 11.30 to 12noon. i was SHOCKED. its like OMG OMG!! WHAT TO DO!! HAVNT FINISH!! quickly goobled down the food and keep working and lcy continued with his presentation practice.. as the time nears, we quickly return to the booth and set up laptop and do the final touch ups to poster, prototypes, and the ppt.. then the laptop almost went outta battry earlier on and to our horror we only have 1 power point, of which we have already use it on the fish pump. then the grp opposite ours dont need any electricity supply had 2 freakin power points.. so lame... then have to borrow from them to charge it up just to plough thru the presentation to the judges..

then when the judges came, i was really really nervous.. ( and argon was no where to be seen, at the toilet having stomach ache as hoe wei claims) i rem goh saying that he knew 2 outta 3 of the judges but there were only 2 that day, 1 indian man and 1 chinese woman.. its kinda like talking to bangky or 041 since the accent is the same.... >< style="font-style: italic;">
ORIGINAL indian accent this time.. so.. well.. TENSIONS GONE! so i did the introduction of the project pretty well.. just that lcy keep hovering behind me telling me what to do etc.. but i didnt really care.. it just gets up my nerves... irritating.. then lcy went on to his part.. he did pretty well, given that he rem almost everything that he rehearse b4 that in such a short time... but he hopped once or twice.. bad habbits are hard to change...

then when it come to Q & A hor, dunno why lcy keep fighting to answer the qns, given that he did the lest experiments and most uncertain of the experimental procedures.. thank goodness argon came back, and he could fend off all the qns on keeping fishes and fish diseases, while shan chin answered qns on experimental procedures and hoe wei helped with the zone inhibition parts. i prefer to stand away just in case i say something wrongly, unlike lcy who keeps fighting to answer qns (when he *ahems*)... i was kinda disheartened when the indian judge keep saying "but you did well" "you did well" is very positive but the "BUT" just cancels out the compilment..
anyway... after the presentation i was really relief and my throat was very dry... then we waited for 'the second round' as shan chin advised.. as he claimed, last yr his grp went off right after their presentation but were called back after some time to come back since they qualify for 'the second round' so we waited just as he adviced.. the second round never came.... we thought at 1st it would take some time so we waited.. and we killed time by roaming arnd science centre and playing arnd ^^ lolz.. like reviving childhood liddat... kinda cool since we dont have to pay for entrance fee ^^"... then after that got tired and we settled down back near the booth... do hw.. play hp.... sleep... wait.............

and wait........................................

and wait.....................

and wait somemore...........................................

ALL THE WAY TO 4 PLUS AND A WOMAN COME IN TO SAY THAT ALL OF US CAN GO HOME. that means, there is no '2nd round' for any1 this yr. i was like ..........!@#$ wasted so much time... haiz... then just went home from science centre....

thurs, we went back to science centre again for the announcement of prize.. so we confirmed that there was only 1 judging the day b4.. anyway.. when we were told to rise to welcome the guest of honour, we all stood up and clap.. then there was a series of anti-climax as a few grp who were late come rushing in the audi when the standing ovation was on... LOLZ so lame.. we clapped of soooo long and he havnt entered.. after 1 min he came in.. lots of speech...minister of sports and youth... science centre manager.. blahx.... ok finally prize award. at 1st we thought there wasnt any order of honour and the announcer will just call all the grps down to receive a cert of participation (COP) 1st, and then continue with winning ppl.. so when it reached Hwa Chong Institution, we were like getting ready to send argon down for the cert... then it SKIPPED our grp.. then it struck us that it went by order of merit and honour.. so we were like WOW!! we got a higher honour than COP!! we were so excited.. then the list went down to RI. at 1st we intimidated by the infestation of RI ppl in the audi as well as their well done posters and research work we witness the day b4. but when the COP list was read for RI, more than 70% of them got it.. and lcy was frantically clapping for their COPs. lolz~ after COP was consolation (sounds kinda zi bei honour...) we were thinking we would fall in this category, but NO... it didnt happen.. we were like'WE ARE IN TOP 3??!!" we were SO excited as the announcer proceeds on to the 1st 3. there we 2 3rd prize this yr..

'the 3rd prize goes to, *project title*, *sch name*, *name of ppl*' it was some girls sch but i cant rem...

we were praying HARD that we wouldnt be the 2nd one...

'the 2nd 3rd prize goes to......

'Isolation of Lactic Acid Bacteria strains and their spectrum of inhibitory activities against food borne bacteria' of Hwa Chong Instition! team members comprising ......................"

"WE WON THIS ZAI PROJECT AND ARE 1ST 2?????!!!!" the tension in us grew exponantially.. the suspense was hard to take... i was breathless and kept shivering and shaking...

'and the second prize goes to..... 'Using Essential Oils as Cockroach Repellant' of Hai Sing Cathalic School! team members are........."

"OMG WE GOT 1ST???? WE GOT 1ST????????" we were SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited!! we knew it have to be ours already! THE 1ST PRIZE IT IS OURS!!...

we were all so shaky and kept making speculations (though not announced yet..><)

'and the champion,'

heartbeat increased....

'the 1st prize,' breathing heavily....

'of this yr's Biotech Fair 2005..... '

clutching onto frens arms........

'goes to..............'

closed eyes......

'Anti-bacterial Protection against (Fish Diseases through the Introduction of Organic Extracts)'

heartbeat stopped
stopped breathing
losen my clutch
opened my eyes

when it was announced till 'Anti-bacterial protection against'.. cos you see, this name is different as the title on our poster. the title on our poster was and the words were different so i was temporary SHOCKED. so i thought for a while, 'is that us.. or did they forget our team's award somewhere in front..'

i regained my senses when she continued with the words 'fish diseases' and 'organic extracts' the 5 of us stood up and revealed our location in the audi. we were sitted all the way in the corner of the audi. every1's head turned back to the corner of the audi. eyes were staring at us. we 'dua-pai-ly' walked down from the high steps (and when i say high, they are.. 1 big step of the stairs is abt your feet to your knees) all the way down to the ground level. heads turned along the route we took down the stairs. cameras flashed everywhere. what a moment of PRIDE! we shook the hand of the minister, got our certs of participation and cert of merit for getting 1st.. (kinda lame that they say cert of merit but it was meant for the 1st prize.. and there were no trophies.. well there was 1 that we thought it was the trophy.. but it turned out to be the tolken of appreciation to the guest of honour ><) we wanted to sms mr goh, but then as usual we were joking how we shld attitude him.. cos he always so wet blanket us, say that we wouldnt acheive anything. in the end, everything turns out on the contrary of his belief. like ideas in action. 'THIS KIND OF QUALITY, REALLY CAN WIN FUNDING LAH.' in the end? we got $2000 from CitiBank. 'WITH THIS LOUSY POSTER, FEEL LUCKY THAT YOU EVEN GET A PRIZE' in the end? we got 1st =) so we were suggesting that we go back and throw the certs in his face and prove him wrong.. and that we wouldnt share the prize with him etc.. all those jokes la.. its kinda funny la.. the ideas we have to attitude him. but honestly we havnt been updating him and being fair to him.. i was thinking of getting a small gift for him to show our appreciation.

well supposedly refreshments were served but we have to get back quickly to tend our booth cos we expected lots of visitors and that we would be the 1 the minister visit. on my way back i called min zhe to share with him our news.. he COULDNT believe it either! i was still so happy and nervous .. still so jumpy... for the rest of the days of the presentation, i have to present in a more 'layman' way to suit the general public. cos the 1st day judging was presented to 'bio' judges. so have to be very bio as well.. but then to minister and general public have to be more general on what we did. so i had a good presentation with the minister and he fed (or shld i say OVERfed) our fish with our product. lolz. then cameras were flashing as he was feeding.. haha.. lcy missed the chance to interact with the minister as he was already been entertaining some indian visitors b4 the minister arrived. subsequently, all the other student competitors keep comin to our boothes asking for overview of our project.. man! so many visitors over night! just thx to the ribbon at the top of our booth that says '1st' lolz. then have to eat a bit and then present then eat again... haha i was practically repeating the same things over and over again for each presentation. lcy and i are so familiar with everything le so most was smooth going. qns asked were also more or less the same for the ppl.. except a few challenging ones... 11+.. 12 liddat not so many ppl le. some grps have also went back to sch. shan chin went back as well.. back the 4 of us remained in science centre playing arnd lolz!! so we skipped lessons, if you want to put it that way.. but we are exempted anyway, so it doesnt matter..

oh the $1000 is gonna banked into my account, since none of my other grp members are sinagporeans.. -_-".. yes... all the other 4 + mentor are all m'sians.... haha.. run away with $1000...

went back to attend the grand finals rehearsal. (Mrs/Ms) Foo Yang Yan was so firey (as usual) and was screaming throughout... i cant really be bothered by the rehearsal and just read the catalouge jh gave me.. and the bugle band was IMPRESSIVE. i have no idea why the sch chose the bugle band for the fanfare of the guest of honour's arrival. or rather, musically speaking, thats no fanfare. a fanfare must have that kind of repeated pattern with intensifying strength in it, but whatever they played sounded more like a march.. lolz was laughing that they would play the same song they always played during nat day etc.. lolz so they know another song eh.. oh yes and they had a conductor -_-" who wore the (DM) glove. and his conducting was dam funny. even funnier than the ACVM (Automatted Conducting Vending Machine, aka Ah Lim) i cant really see if he is conducting in 2,2 or 3,4 cause he keeps changing the direction where his hands were going. pls dont tell me thats theres TIME CHANGE for i wouldnt believe a short piece liddat would really have time signature change.. i think the band understood it as one jerk of his hand movements means one beat.. lolz seriously! he was jerking his every hand movement! anyway.. that aint significant... went home after that and slept all the way..zzzz...

and today, the entire day i was exempted from sch due to grand finals PD. all A and A* holders are to attend the Grand Finals today and recieve their prize after that.. so viewed the entire 10 science projects.. but b4 that we were 'encouraged' or shld i say 'attracted' to asking qns to the grps to win 'fabulous' prizes such as $30 popular voucher ><... everytime you ask a qns, your name will be taken down and you would be entitled to the lucky draw of popular voucher.. and there are ONLY 4 vouchers.. so lame.. then terrance's zebrafish grp was behind us and he was a really funny guy. just in case you dunno who he is, he was that a little bit more female hormones (aka sissy) guy who appeared in the chinese game show scholars of scholars. he was giving funny and critical comments thruout and exibited hilarious bahvior thruout.. LOLZ.. at 1st when the GF start, yi shan's bro went down twice to ask the 1st 2 grps qns and terrance was saying 'he really want the voucher is it' lolz!! well actualy he want it too as shown later... during the lucky draw of the vouchers he was praying so hard for it.. and i mean by PRAYING with palms together moving up and down... he was soo tensed when 3 of them were gone to 3 ppl who asked crappy qns.. and when it reached the last 1 voucher, he was devasted that he didnt get the voucher........ but the sec1 who sits RIGHT BESIDE him got it.. he was like !@#$%^... 'he better not get back or i will bash him!!' which he didnt la lolz...

then during the prize award ceremony to the GFlist, together with our grp, terrance was like cursing that gen-y plastic would get the 2nd prize instead when the list only had 2 names left. haha i was kinda fun cursing that they wouldnt get 1st.. and during the gen-y plastic presentation, when the members of the grp was giving out samples of their plastic to the judges, we were desperately hoping that they would smell it. CAUSE WE KNOW THAT THE PLASTIC THEY COME UP WITH STINKS... haha so if the judge smells it, they would be in trouble.. and they DID!! lolz! terrance was 'YES!! YES!!-ing" arnd.. haha...

then harhp got 5 grps in GF. for that, she got 3 $50 voucher and 2 $80 voucher since 3 grps that she mentored got in GF and 2 grps got the top 3 prize. so some1 was saying she had $310 extra income, not including the prize she got from the best mentor award.. lolz...

after that we still have to get back to science centre since theres public viewing of the biotech fair. we were kinda late and afraid that ppl would have the mentality that we are dua-pai after getting 1st prize. haha. well nothing much today. just a few general public ppl.. (not so general public afterall... they all seem to ask veyr bio qns.. seem to understand the bacteria names etc..) we were presenting as we were eating our mcdonalds lunch.. the photographer from straits times came and took some shots of us.. then argon didnt bring his attire and had to borrow from the other grp the blazer and the tie. thx goodness that we are only taking top half of the body.. quite some supporters came today as well.. mr and mrs goh... quite a few 3J ppl.. well they are the only sec 3s not involved in biotech that i see anyway... haha they insisted that i present to them in an informal way.. so it was kinda casual.. the day was smooth la.. except for 1 woman.. the evil one... i think shes there just to pinpoint our mistakes and cause trouble la.. as in i mean.. she approached our grp and 'demanded' a presentation. ok so i started out as usual. then she didnt allow me to really present lor.. she was already asking qns that will be explain later when i am presenting.. i mean, she asked how we made the special food used in the project when i was talking abt how we got abt doing the project.... BS la...the making of food will be explained later lor.. then she didnt really gimme chance to talk and just keep interrupting with question that will naturally be explained later.. she just cant let nature take its course and keeps interrupting. then some questions she posed were meant to shoot us down.. at that time only hoe wei and i was arnd, lcy and argon were roaming arnd. i had to pull them back to aid us when hoe wei was speaking to her.. she is darn difficult la! then the list of organic extract, she went thru 1 by 1. NO ONE has ever read thru the entire table of 30 food items... she read one by one. the chinese traditional medicin.. the herbs.. the spices.. and point out spelling error.. wrong characters in the chinese names of the TCMs.. dam sh*t.... i couldnt stand her anylonger and just dragged lcy to continue to present. i think shes a tcher from one of the competing schs and just want to make us feel that we aint as great as we were labelled...

ahh... then mdm lim and mdm leow came to visit us. but they were kinda late since every1 was packing up. kian hong came along too, and helped us carried some stuffs back to sch. so nice ^^ anyway, we were really happy to see mdm lim and mdm leow.. cos they really helped out in the lab. and never have i talked so causually with mdm lim b4 and seen her smile so broadly.. she always looks so stressed by work. but i really feel very happy to see the 2 of them, esp mdm lim smiling... she even repeatedly insist on helping us carry some stuff back to the LRC.. shes really nice..

anywa.. took 66 home.. kinda a long long ride.. from science centre, past by sch, then back home.. when i woke up from a nap we havnt even reach sch!! so slept on to little india area when sean unexpectedly board the bus and woke me up.. he was talking on the phone with liuzhen thruout and talking to me at the same time ><>

oh well... wow... have blogged for........ 2hrs 20mins le.. haha.... so much to say... it was a really rewarding experience for me lor.. the biotech fair had really unleased the speaking potential in me by allowing me to present to bio judges.. general public and even the minister.. i am to announce the results on monday as well. wow.. but i would still prefer my surrendipious approach of doing things. quite a good exposure and experience, not only in lab work, presentation skills as well since i never present to sooooo many ppl b4, public relations with minister.. other students..etc.. swarmed by reporters... that kind of pride and feeling.. all the hard works are well paid off....well till then, ppl check out straits times!

quit messing with my life, school...

ok im really really hot on the head now.. theres a lot, A LOT of things going on in my head now...

first, it was the mass convo that i was immediately enlisted in when i sign in MSN. it was regarding the jh incident earlier in the morning.. man.. so much happened when i was workin on my project.. ok apparently, jh got into trouble with the admin again... dunno why he is soo unlucky always kena by admin.. last time was the old band rm walls.. now is the store rm walls... apparently, he was taking a break from his hw in the band rm and was playin the basketball against the wall... and somehow... the principals (mr hon + mr tan) came by in a car and saw him playing.. so they got him over and ask him into the car and gave him a good dressing down... and threaten to remove us from even the store rm... we were threatened several times already man... once was no SALT center for us and now this... of which both are brought up by jh's actions... but i cant really blame him.... its not his fault totally.... hai ya.. dunno what to say la... sch's messin up my life.. and that brings me to my next pt...

have been really caught up by the project recently.. it has totally ruin my hols... and to think that i have long planned my hols in such a way that most of my activities are held at the last few days, the project as well suddenly poped up and just cancels out my activities one by one.. i have had planned to go back to MBS today.. considering the fact that i missed the tues prac already.. then i was thinkin i shld go for todays prac.. or i would be like givin ms wee false hope... then the project was like draggin.... but thats ok.. since i didnt manage to turn up yesterday... but then... i am required to turn up again tmr.. of which i already had an appointment with mr siao to help his band... worse, tues when i didnt turn up, ms koe was there. im sure she aint happy that im not present. today i went, shes not there. and when shes gonna be there tmr, i most prob wouldnt be there. then she would think that im slacking! im so confused now.... and biotech is this comin wed. mrs har says im good at presenting and requires that i present.. thats really SHOCKING. cos for many times during meeting with mr goh, he also says that mrs har was IMPRESSED with my presentation skills, being confident and fluent. but, according to my memory, i have NEVER presented b4, other than the prelims round and mrs har aint there.. and argon insist that i did present some-when b4... anyway.. i'll most prob faint shld i really be required to present...

the next one is abt this sms... which im SUPPOSED to be happy abt... you see... during the june hols, i have been going back to pri sch for band prac, cos theres a recording that we are making. and this sms tells me that the CD will be released soon and im invited to the CD release ceremony and for the live performace as well... of course, naturally im suppose to be glad. BUT, of ALL dates.. it falls on 11 Nov... im like in CHINA??? thx to the BSP attachement... during the june hols, we delicated 2 days for the final recording.. of which 1 i couldnt turn up due to BSP camp... and now i cant turn up for its glorious release... due to BSP (again..) its like.... man...

i really want to keep my word and turn up to help mr siao's band tmr..
i really want to turn up to witness the release of our hard work in a glorious manner...
i really want to work for the project...
i really want to do a lot more things

but school...

you are interfering too much in my life

democracy - a system of running organizations, businesses and groups in which each member is entitled to vote and participate in decisions

well.. there have been much controversial debates inspired through the up-coming elections...

a few unhappy things abt the elections that i heard from many ppl

  1. its been delayed for too long a time
  2. the pre-elected leaders (those chosen to take over the band for a day or 2..) (or those who attempted the mace) have the pirority already... and most probably they would be elected anyway.. so there isnt really much of a pt having the election...
  3. some other smaller post have more or less been confirm as well due to the little take overs as well as assistance: jun bo (QM), ru jun (UIC, or welfare since they integrated the 2 posts last yr..), wei yang (lib), majors include the helped-many-times ppl like nich, sean, ernest etc..
  4. certain posts should not be integrated.. i mean, woodwinds major = student conductor?? or UIC= welfare?? thats so lame
well.. its quite true lah... some of the pts are worth my agreement too. i think that the political structure of the band must be revamp, esp the integration part.. it makes no sense that once you are the UIC you have to be the welfare manager or when you are a woodwinds major you have to be the student conductor. how if some1 from the brass section has better talents in conducting? that brings me to one more pt. i dont think that there shld be a woodwinds major or a brass major or whatever they call it... cos it limits the leadership roles.. that means only woodwinds player can be the WW major while only a brass player can be the BM.. this is totally unfair since it does nto apply to the DRUM major.. this role has been made an exception such that any1 from whichever section can take up the DM responsibility.. not that im jealous of such unfair treatment, but doesnt that means that it takes a really, really, REALLY good percussion with well-respected leadership to take up the major role while it takes just any1 else from any other section to take up any majors' role? i propose that instead of WM or BM, we have Band Major instead. it allows a better and fairer leadership election. however, i just DM will have to stay, since many other bands have already adapted the system where a DRUM major need not come from a percussion section..

another thing: current leaders shld give every1 an equal chance to 'take-over' the band when they cant make it on certain days. i mean, as far as i know, all those take-over leaders 来来去去is the same one lor... so its like every1 else have the mentality that they are 'the chosen ones' and they would sooner or later be the next generation leaders, then they would overlook other potential leadership abilities. though you can argue that if one wants to be the leader, he must prove it and exibit it. but does his efforts get seen? every1 has the mentality that 'the chosen-ones' are the next generation leaders already, would they really look into others' leadership skills? then when it comes to elections, 'the-chosen-ones' are given the headstart, winning other candidates by a wide margin. this has to be changed to allow every1 a fair chance.

besides, not many would stand to say, 'i want to be the DM' or something like that. the real-world politics dont work in small organization like schools. every1 is very sensitive to such stuff. look at how things work in these days, when coming to choose a leader, be in in group works or just a small exercise, every1 would push arnd and those selected would initially tend to reject. i think this is the adverse effect of the '谦虚文化', where asian, esp chinese would attempt to reject praises when they recieve. i mean, when some1 FORMAL says that you are really smart, would you a) say 'of course!' or b) say 'okay lah... cant be compared with you..' most would say b). those who say a) are most prob when joking with frens to show an egoistic side. so when selected to be the leader, you are being looked up and praised of your leading abilities. so you would tend to reject at 1st. unlike what we see in the gov. those politicians would really stand up and influence ppl to vote for them and their proposals. they would stand up and say 'vote wisely, vote me', 'look no further, but for my ideas'. would that happen in schools? if you ever do that, ppl say that you are hl(hao lian) or egoisitc. so its a really complex system that can never work in schools.

the long delay of the elections have worsen the prob. cos with the delay of the new committee means allowing an extention in the reign of the 'take-over' leaders. with the extention of their reign means further instilling the mentality into the members' minds even further..

so, there is indeed democracy in the upcoming elections, based on the definition given above. but what is the pt of having every1 to have the right to vote, when most of us vote through the instinct, or mentality? the pre-leaders are already given the headstart to 'win' the posts. so shld we have elections or selections? it dont really makes much of a difference since both are results of the current leaders. they select the next generations, thats direct enough, while when they choose 'take-over' leaders, the election results are obvious already. so whats the ideal why of choosing our leaders? i have no idea too....

the other side of us....

what a day! we finally did our display and it was fantastic! kinda miss it now... :|

reached school really early today.. the rm aint open yet.. so sheng heng and i were sitting on the stairs waiting... after the rooms open, got prepared: put paddings to cushion the leg.. snare up.. gloves.. everything... i was worried that te snare would losen itself without warning.. so i 'super-tensioned' it.. that means, i off the snare, and tighten the snare to the fullest and screw it up.. that means, after i on the snare, it would be really really tight and stick to the drum.. and of course, i t did cross my mind that thats not a good idea.. but it just repeatedly comes off for the past few days.. every1 was more or less prepared, ready to step onto the field.. but it started to rain without mercy soon after that.. so we were just slackin arnd until we were told to go to kah kee hall.. the other uniform grps were there as well then.. we practised one last time our repertiore. the volume was loud since it was enclosed.. there were serveral other ppl walkin arnd glancing at us then.. of which it was some of my classmates... esp hong shen's gang.. they stood at the platform in front and above us and were waving to us.. but obviously we are not suposed to move.. as i was playing the drum, i had the slightlest bit of suspection that my drum snares were off again.. but i couldnt hear it very well due to the loud volume.. ok i just continued.. then after the short rehersal, true enough, the snare was lose again.. i think its not the super-tension's fault.. the screw itself is coming lose all the time.. but jh's snare was off even before the rehearsal started.. after the rehearsal ended, we were informed that the rain stopped and we can go to the field again.. but alas! i had to fix my drum! i was frantically trying to get it done.. racing against time.. as every1 head towards the field, the concourse grew more silent and empty.. i was growing anxious.. i had it done initially.. then as i walked away towards the field i hit the drum again.. and its off again! i fixed it for the 1 last time, and i just head towards the field.. not considering the fact that its only half-snared...

the parade and march pass contained quite a lot of screw ups from us.. outta 4 snares, by the end of the parade (not display) only 1 remained snary.. jh and my snares were off already even b4 the parade, then si yao's drum went off subsequently half-way thru the parade.. so bangky had to whack the drum in the end.... well the parade had impressed the school population.. despite some parts are still being negatively commented... so the display started... nothing much.. until the dominoes... the school cheer, but i believe its the drum major's doings as usual.... most of the time the cheers are for the dm would throws the mace.. no one really cares abt the shape of our formations... then proceed on... to mass twirl... i was slightly disappointed when no one responded 'excitedly' to the mass twirl... i was kinda surprised, i thought it might look impressive.. then i realised that the mass twirl was.. erm... not-so-successful cos i got quite some feedbacks from my classmates.. yi cheng was saying it looked spastic cos it looked like futile attempts to immitate rifles spinning from NCC... and ying han was asking me how come we like screw up that part cos it looked very messy... well i cant really blame them, cos they have no idea whats happening till that moment in time... honestly it looked quite messy since its not well co-ordinated enough... then next most cheered part is..... LESLIE'S GONG!!! haha... never had he played at that volume.. i learnt from him that he was merely taking the gong as his classmate's face... the sonorous and deep metalic sound send the entire band bowing down... look really grand and impressive... can we concluded the entire display by getting back into the block whilst playing lord of the dance and with the 'pose' at the end... spinned 270 march out.... mission accomplished... the days of 'training' did pay off.. many people were impressed and experienced the 1st display band atmosphere... quite exciting.. CQ and edward sms me after that and gave positive and encouring words...

packed up and head towards the audi... it was dark already since the movie started... i had to grope my way down the steps with nicholas... then i heard lin chen calling me and i found an empty seat behind him, so i just make myself comfortable there.. bernard then informed me that we were watching 'hotel rwanda' i was kinda surprised cos jovan was just talking about this movie with me that day.. so i have got a chance to watch it myself.. it was a real story and its really very touching despite the light touch of humour at the end when the heroine used the shower head for desperate defence.... and the hero was asking him 'what do you plan to do with this??' haha it was kinda funny at that part.. really lift many out of the tension... i cried at several scenes... jovan and i were just talking abt the society we are living in now as well as the media which propagates only mainly the good sides of life.... in the case of hotel rwanda, the conflict was btw the 2 different tribes, the Tutsi and the Hutus... the hutus carried out homicide on the tutsi due to some historical disputes i suppose (missed the front part..) and this poor 4-star hotel manager had to put up with the refugees and lose his business.... he experienced a lot of pressure since he was caught in btw the good and the bad and he was expereincing a lot of lost hopes... a high-order command forced all the UN soldiers garrisoning the area out of rwanda as well as all other Europeans who stayed at the hotel.. making the hotel and its refugees to fend for themselves... in the end, the rebels almost marched into the hotel and kill all the refugees as well as the hotel staff... but thx to his intellect, he was able to manipulate the local 'corrupted' general with blackmails into helping him to defend the last bit before the UN comes back.. in the end, the conflcit died down, and the hotel manager and her wife went to search for their missing relatives.. they were only able to find their nieces who became orphans since their parents were never found... they also adopted 20 other orphans... it was a really hard and painful process that the hero went through.. he was beckoned by betrayal but he was willing to use his intellect to fight on for the innocent people... such noble person... it was a really reall touching story...

well then there was a sudden and awkward transition as we proceeded down for the pulsate carnival... i think ortus carnival last yr had more dynamics than pulsate.. nothing much really... of the band performances, many anticipated chee yang's FIR.. i heard that he was really impressive with his ability to sing really high pitches like lydia's part in FIR.. i didnt get to hear it for myself cos i had to go on to do my project..... after helping edward keep the drumset which was used for the performances, si yao and i went down for lunch together..

well we intended to try the sharks' fin noodles as advertised on the tv prog.. we were not sure which exact part was Race Course road, so we took a taxi there. in the end, we found the stall.. but it was CLOSED..... due to national day hols..... so we wanted to go komalas, the indian fast food restaurant, but we couldnt find it either.. so we just walked to lavander food court and had a simple meal...

it was a really tiring day.. but i guess we are nonetheless rewarded with the PHs... well thats all for now.. have a nice PH....

not-so-lucky-week...

ok its aint a good week for me.. nt good at all...

it all started out on tues.. the obessed-with-alkali day.. ok see.. we were doing this chem SPA.. to gauge the temperature change as you mix different volumes of acid and alkali together.. each bench was provided with 1 big platic jug of acid and 1 of alkali.. then as hong wei was working on the experiement, he accidentally knocked the platic jug onto the edge of the sink and spilled the alkali on the table.. my area.. my pencil case and worksheet.. i was like.... nvm... small accident... then the next moment.. i continued with the experiement.. then as i was standing up washing my apparatus, unknowingly, jia xin sat onto my chair and was pouring the alkali into his test tube.. not knowing that theres some1 behind me, i took a causual step back onto my seat.. and ta dah~.. he spilled the alkali...onto the floor.. my legs.. and not forgetting himself... i was like!?!@#$%^ 2nd accident,. and it was a big one... i had to excuse myself from the lab to the toilet to wash up.. i had to take off my socks and shoes and put my leg into the basin to wash it.. it was super soapy... after i cleaned up.. it was kinda late already.. as i was on a rush for a presentation (which i will talk abt later..) so i was rushing thru thte experiment which many had finished.. then min zhe, the last of my 3 lab partners was confidently saying that he would not spill alkali over me like what they did.. ok.. i took his words of it.. then as i was washing some apparatus again, mz was also using the same sink.. he had too much alkali in his test tube so he was like pouring it into the sink at quite a distance from the sink.. so its like.. as he was pouring the alkali, my hand reached over as well.. so it was like.... alkali on my arm....><" agrh... anyway.... after the alkaline experiment, i had to excuse myself from lessons for a presentation to some visitors which i was last-minute-ly informed. shang chin called me earlier telling me that we need to centrifudge the mushroom thingy again as the previous attempt failed.. he didnt know abt the presentation as well..well anyway.. rushed after the chem SPA for the presntation.. but the visitors were nowhere to be seen... we waited for quite some time before a group of ppl came into the LRC with yap meng seng... the presntation went quite well.. as we stick to how we presented during semi finals.. after the presentation, argon and i did the gram staining thing.. it turned out quite colourful.. ><" after smudging the slides with the bacteria.. 1st we stain it purple .. wait 2 min.. then wash off.. the stain it yellow with iodine... then wait... then stain with red/pink.. then wait.. then wash with 95% ethanol.. then let it dry... we decided to get our bags and come back to the LRC to continue.. so as i was heading towards the class.. it was already 4 plus.. i met yi cheng on the way.. who promptly stopped me from going back to class as mrs ngsh was still in class.. demanding for the imcomplete homework.. heard that she was very pissed and was taking down our parents' phone numbers... well.. so i headed back to the lab to do some cleaning up 1st... then argon called me later to tell me that the coast is clear.. so i went back to class to get my bag.. then we went back to lab.. we looked under microscope the stained slides.... see nothing..... erps... then need to redo.. but the lab is closing.. so we had to discard everything... the most unlucky thing that happened to me for the week... is i suppose the mace-drop-onto-your-back-at-an-altitude-of-at-least-2metres incident... ok lets infer from this: KB was playing with the mace. i was practising my steps. i felt pain. extreme pain.. so what can we infer? perhaps its not a good elaboration.. but the idea is there.. the mace fell onto my back.. i didnt know until ppl told me... i was first like WTF? WHO ZHAM ME SO DAM FREAKIN HARD?? other than CQ who aint there that day, no one zhams so hard.. then i was thinking on si yao... but that lord-brahma-obessed idiot wouldnt zham me if i dont annoy him.. then i thought back.. even if its zham it wouldnt casue such an extreme pain... anyway.. i was jumping with a numb expression in my face..(at least i didnt run and spin in circles like some ppl..) i was later brought to the sick bay where the st john now resides.. yu feng (as in one of the st john group leader..) was there.. and so was wangster... they tend to my wound.. in a relatively slipshot manner... i wasnt offered to sit down... and yu feng causally applied some lotion onto me (its supposed to be a painful process.. but there aint any pain.. so that means.. they did it in a slipshot manner...) and after which he also casually paste a plater (that had just dropped onto the ground..) over the wound.... oh what crap... that means the missed the entire prac that day.. cos i cant even feel my right arm.. my entire network on muscles and nerves at the wound was slightly crippled... i cant even tilt my head left of there will be pain... so i missed prac that day and the day after.. but i remain there to help the section with some of the clarification of steps that kinda thing... and since i cant strap up due to the wound.. and since wilson didnt turn up for the subsequent prac, i was playing the bassdrum for him... my arm hurts after the entire thing... of which during one of the pracs i knocked my knuckle too much onto the skin of the drum and i started bleeding and it stained the drum as well... ><'.. went to hougang constituency today for the CIP thingy... overall its kinda fun.. went for lunch with mr siao kian hong, nicholas and si yao after that.. haha mr siao waited for so long to have lunch with us.. and on top of that he was watching a cookery show with tempt him further... we had a hard time deciding where to eat.. in the end we went to bukit timah market and food centre.. over there, we also had a hard time deciding what to eat ><" so we toured almost 3 rounds around the food centre, leaving mr siao back at the table.. during the 'tour', we pass by a western stall and si yao causally walk pass it and koped a packet of chilli sauce.... erpz... then during the second 'tour', again, he kope sauce.. but now its 4 packets of chilli and ketchup... erps.. then we had carrot cake that we shared... i didnt grip the chopstick well so i kept dropping.. then mr siao kept staring at me (like how i stare at him sometimes as well as other ppl.. i realise theres quite some similarity btw the 2 of us.. the passionate but sometimes bo-chap attitude.. and the way we blog.. as in the a-lot-of-dots......... part and a few more..) and niaoing me as i drop my carrot cake... finsihed with the final act of chemistry(mixing of food...) by si yao and then head home.. well its the actual thing tmr already.. even if we are not exactly fully prepared but lets just give it the full shot!

thats all i have to say now i suppose... its kinda late.. and i have to report early tml.. so i guess i betta sleep now... nitez! i will end off with a quote "you dont blame others and complain abt others when you screw up; instead, reflect upon your own actions and ask yourself why you screw up, not why others screw up for you" in fact, its a bit everyone knows.. but.. 'when you point your finger at others, you have 3 more fingers pointing back at YOU' so never blame any1 but yourself shld anything go wrong.. but obviously dont blame yourself to such a negative extent.... thats why i never fling insults or complains at others on my blog.. such negative feelings shld be kept confined to yourselves and not publicised.. you dont go arnd telling a grp of ppl: 'im not so-and-so, i dont do things like him'.. its starting to get lengthy.. i betta stop... nitez...

i cant....

well.. engaged with sean in talking about some good of fren of ours jason today... haha.. ok perhaps the word good isnt erm.. correct...

oh well nevermind about jason i suppose.. srry sean... i cant do it...
ant bites and blisters....

today aint a good day i suppose... started out the day with english lesson.. went thru some more stuff i get us prepared for the afternoon's test.. IHE.. last IHE lesson watching movie.. man.. spent 4 periods of geog watching that movie.. so cool!! and its movie, not documentary.. its totally cool.. assembly was totally boring.. council stuff... i think they are really 吃力不讨好... nvm.. then theres the REALLY BORING talk by the indian guy from the ministry of foriegn affairs... talkin abt terrorism.. but every1 was falling asleep! after the talk leeks screamed at us.. but hey.. you have to admit that the speaker really fails to engage us or even get our attention, given his regular pauses and uncertainty as he speaks... after assembly.. bio.. leefy as lame as usual.. maths was nothing as usual... then eng test was a killer.. every1 was like stunned when they received the paper.. esp a zhe.. he was like "ma de..." so loudly... and every1 took paper from me... a newly bought stack of paper.. left with half a stack.. then went for band... of which at 1 position i was standing on an ant nest and i was getting bitten like hell... and there a 3 blisters on my right hand now... with 1 rather big one on my right index finger... tired after the day...

yesterday was jovan's bday.. then had quite a chat with him yesterday.. and in return of the $40 shirt that he bought for mr siao on his bday, mr siao got him a book.. the curious incident of the dog at the night time... well that book.. read it some time ago.. kinda interesting... jovan said i resemble the christopher guy in the book.. photographic memory, smart and love maths... ok love maths is true... smart... can say so if you compare with any1 else in my family... phototgraphic memory..?? no.... i just so happen to be able to remember lame stuff, people's lament and complains... perhaps thats why i hold grudges sometimes... well i asked mr siao today if he got jovan anything.. he was like "yes! i did!" and he repeated at least 3 times... guilty consciences? :) haha i only merely asked him if he got him anything and he replied in such a defensive manner.. then i asked him, what did he get him, he said a book.. i was like... can it be the curious incident dog book that jovan was talkin abt the night before.. and it turned out to be so.. erps... a book that cost at most $15.. and a branded shirt for $40... well its the sincerity that matters eh! ;)

that also reminds me, yesterday before i sent ms foo the soft copy of my essay, i sent LCY some stuff for the project.. after atttaching the doc, i put the subject as 'whatever you wanted'.. then after that i send ms foo the soft copy WITHOUT changing the subject unknowingly... then i was shcoked.. i quickly checked the sent messages file... it looks quite weird...:

Whatever you wanted

Dear Ms Foo,

Attached is the soft copy of my essay as you requested

Yours sincerely,
Pang Da Xian

it looks stupid la ok... then i quickly send another email to apologise for the 'informal' subject...

not many pracs till NDP.. hope every1 in the section would make an effort to study the scores that i have had painstakenly compiled for each and every1 of them.. hope the effort to compile the scores dont go to waste.. that reminds me.. i have to memorise as well... been kinda busy running some backstage work.. but nevermind...

not many days till the end of submission for the photo competition as well.. gotta get something done...

Anticipating the CD!

the essence of photography...?

haha.. have the sudden urge to join the photography competition. jovan tried to help me to come up with ideas on what to take.. but i think perhaps this kind of things like ideas come as you encounter it.. or doesnt it? chun meng also helped me by givin me links to some photography web sites.. think i shld save up to get myself some cool camera for serious photography.. like the bridge camera.. which is for intermediate level.. i want to get a rangefinder, but i think its too professional.. never mind bout that.. still thinking what shld take for the science phototgraphy contest.. up to 3 entries.... tisk..

anyway.. have been a relatively free week, after projects' day and mrp submission.. man... the entire of last week i was burnt out i tell ya... there was this night was week i meng my mrp so much that i only slept for 1.30hrs liddat.. at intervals some more.. did A LOT... but then, the next day, when i woke up, for some reason my laptop is at the welcome screen, which means what i have worked on 'poof' and its gone.. I WAS LIKE?????!!!!@#@#$%^&*.. CRAP.. i work on it soooo much and it was gone... so i ended up asking ms cheong for yet another extention to tuesday latest... i didnt shut down my com for 4 days for the entire week(only hibernate it) to work on PD and MRP and i guess i burnt it out as well >< that sure explains the gone files, the 'more-than-5-min-shut-down-time', as well as the mouse-screwed-up thingy.. its not the wrong configuration, but the mouse, when you left click, it will right click by itself.. then sometimes when not moving the mouse cursor also just move by itself... not just the wireless logitech mouse, the 2 mouse on my laptop (the mouse pad as well as the ultra navigator) also has the same prob... think i need to send it for repair....

ideas in action ppl came down yesterday to view the progress of our project.. ones an ang moh who is known as byran tucker and a lady who looks like an american chinese... realise that we only spent a quarter of our 2000 dollars funding.. LCY and argon as usual were arguing at the slightest thing.. making me feel so out of place and making shang chin amused.. LCY insisited on having his little comic strips as part of the presentation.. LCY also claimed that the 2 of em aint lookin at the presentation slides at all but kept focusing on him... whatever... its kinda hard to fully comprehend what byran tucker was thinking as the way he speaks.. its hard to know if he is being sarcastic.. worse.. he kept giving short answers like.. 'sure, ok, good, yes, interesting' oh man...

yesterday was 46th track and field competition.. too bad we didnt have a chance to go down to support the sch anymore...(not that i love HCI... but well.. i enjoy busking in the strong emotional spirits..) only the sec 1s get to go down to choa chu kang stadium.. unlike last years where every1 goes to the kallang stadium and cheer.. haha remember last year.. kinda painted on hair.. then... IT RAINED!! then the painted sip and travel down the cheeks and stain the clothes... like what si yao said.. it look like we were all involved in car accidents.. haha.. didnt really regret painting a little last year.. since we most probably would not get the chance to do so anymore... as usual (quite surprising though..) we got B and C boys champs.. *anticipates the annual extra hols..* didnt get the As champs... this morning mr hon refuse to announce the extra hols until monday which is after the canoeing com... not quite sure abt the canoe team though.. good luk any way..

today is racial harmony.. nothin much.. just cliche festival messages... and activities... had only 1 period of chinese in the morning and we proceeded to KKH to assemble... dont see the point of havin just 1 period.. anyway.. after chinese.. teocm came in to class to talk to us for a while.. she claimed that we have already missed a lot of lessons and we are quite far behind.. so she wanted us to do make up lessons, perferably after the celebrations.. but most of us didnt bring our lessons materials, so we just changed it to tomorrow after sch.. wth.. theres like sectionals tmr..? anyway.. went off to geylang serai (despite being located in paya layba..) with the others.. must bring the china ppl along... nothing much... just look at exibitions... see here see there... then attempted the malay arts and craft.. then eat then go home... its like 5 hrs just gone liddat?? reached home.. slept... for 4hrs unknowingly... woke up... 5 pm le.. did some part of the matrix presentation... played a few rounds of RA2.. blogging... read up on some photography thing.... blah..

have a nice day ahead...

well today went to woodlands.. supposedly to do survey for MRP.. then yi jiunn and i got like 100% rejection from the public.. from MRT station to causeway point shooping centre to bus interchange to library.... kinda evious of those teenagers in the arcades and cinema in causeway point.. spending YOUTH DAY like how a youth shld... unlike us.. spending youth day doing research.... anyway.. 100% rejection...like WHATS HAPPENING TO OUR PEOPLE?? why are singaporeans like so un-helpful...wasted an entire day... whatever.. plan A failed.. proceed to plan B: get teachers/frens/parents/relatives/parents' collegues.. this is like so irritating.... and to think that MRP deadline is just round the corner...

AHH! bio test comin up.. as leefy said: prepare to die... ai yo.. cant believe koh spent the 1st half of the yr teaching us so much enrichment and bypassing the impt parts.. now that shes on maturnity leave.. god has summonded leefy to resurrect our pathetic dying souls.... and he says: be prepared to die... *busy digging a grave...*

NDP also makin me busy with my rounds.. so many things to get done with.. and now that edwardo-sama is down with pneumonia, he cant join us.. sec 4s aint required anyway...but he can be one of the sidelines.. even if he aint down with illness, he still have his 'O's to occupy him, now that he can take study leaves.. all the admin things fall upon me (once again) not that i mind, but edward is like such an unpredictable guy... his temper esp... then last yr something went wrong with his chemistry end of yr exam and had to re-exam on it i think.. since then he closed himself out and refuse to remian contactable.. i remember that time calling him at his place.. his bro picked up and you can hear this distant voice of edward saying 'tell him im not in' when asked to the phone... and now he is down with pneumonia.. how come he always like vanish mysteriously..不告而别 liddat.... get well soon edward..

as i was saying.. the section is once again in my hands.. well the problem of attendence still lingers in the section.. and my section aint very healthy recently.. srry guys.. passed the disease to you all... all of them are coughing and sneezing away... kinda recovering from my own sickness... wasnt feeling myself for the entire last week.. so weak.. then NDP still have a lot to settle.. anyway.. just to echo my sms to you guys, pls note the following:

did i just break a record of not blogging for a long time again? yay~

yes.. school started liaoz.. is that good or bad...

new year, new class, new teachers, new classmates, MANY new subjects.. well im allocated to 3K, under ShiehLS.... got several teachers whom i dont really know/heard b4...

ShiehLS for chinese...keep telling us must 有效的表达.. she tends to freak me up with the sudden calling of index numbers...

rayomd ng for maths... (new.. EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND!!! LOLZ) he claimed that he might go pretty fast.. but all the lessons so far is like... 6 qns per lessons?? crap.. i always finish ahead and go do my own sums be it on logarithm or reading ahead of lessons...

david-vincent tan for chem... always gives articles to read.... and the 1 min presentation which he proposed and started on the 1st or second week, i havnt got a chance to present (arnd 4th week now >< ") NgSH for physics... sianz teacher... dunno why every1 wants to comment on her mustache ><'' and her bulging eyes O.O (<---yeah like this LOLZ) OonHL for bio.. new one also.. she prefers to be addressed as mrs koh though.. she claimed that she wanted to be a doctor but she was rejected several times ><.. she a bit weird one though.. she gave us intro of her background/life that kinda thing.. she even made a ppt, showing all her photos that depict her life.. which included her baby photo, pri sch yrs..sec sch yrs.. you know.. growing up photos..LOLZ.. and that she came from VJC after 7 yrs there.. got back ms teo again not for hist but for SS.. (i dont really see the diff btw SS and hist anyway O.o) she has yet to flare up these days..but she has switched to proed (together with ms wun... how coincidental can that get -.-) Lim CC for geog.. pretty nice and easy-going.. able to project his voice well and his lessons aint boring which is good =) the worst nightmare is like.... i do not wish to mention the name.... take the letter before the letters shown to depict the name: "GPPYD" yeah thats her.. -.- got her last yr for lit for the last few months cos joyce lim went for maternaity leave... didnt really enjoy her lessons and her handwritting is !@#$%^... messy.... then few weeks after getting her as lit teacher got her as band teacher IC!! OMG.... thats not bad enuf, this yr got her for eng ><... aaaahhhhhh!!!! got 3 new china PRCs: Gu Miao(苗哥!lolz), Jin Di and Si Qing and 1 from SJI: Li Long (full name lee li long aka 'L cube' by hong shen..) the 3 PRCs are very active in chinese lessons thats of no doubt, however i think they are still pretty foreign to our english language and the way we speak it... they dont really understand the eng language our teachers used i think... the stress is already building up... 2nd day of school already do chinese compo.... didnt bring dictionary at all... and any wrong words will acumulate to maximum of 7 marks... THATS only 2nd day.. dunno how to survive for the rest of the year..... sigh... BSP, MRP, SMRP, PD, EP3... sigh... sec 3 life really sucks doesnt it?
