thats quite a week....

4 tests this week... english... com studies...geog and hist

monday...
com studies test... kent cheong should have made things simplier... he was totally keeping himself busy and to the edge when he had to go round marking the practicals.. also his marking was unfair... my way of doing was similar to another friend's but he gave him 2 more marks than me... HMPF..... foget it...

tuesday...
i was rather suprised by the english test this term - there is no graphic organizer... the day before the test, in fact, many ppl are still unsure if the test is compre or compo... jie hao said that flower (ms hoa) told his class is compo... but i remembered that it was compre clearly.... luckily it turned out to be compre.. for i didnt study for compo.... and when chun meng saw flower en route to LT2 and asked her to confirm whats for the test, she replied "thats too bad".. thats not exactly at the slightest bit friendly... then during the test the teacher relocated some of us cos she felt that "it was too squeezy".. and im one of them and it didi take up some time to move around... then the main invigilator was not informed and when he collected the papers later he was upset that we were not in index order and made the whole class staty back...

wednesday...
i was only informed that there was band prac outdoors on the day itself and i was not very happy... i had already planned my timetable when i get home early on the day cos i have 2 tests tmr and of which 1 of them i have VERY knowledge in.... i was firm on my stand and decided not to go, in short, pon... then when si yao looked for me after school to go for band, i reinforeced my stand and in the end he was convinced not to go too cos he got 3 tests the next day... he wouldnt study even if he got home early... most probably engage himself with pokemon.... fool...
the rest of the day i made myself study for hist and geog which happens to fall on the next day... in fact, i was SO busy trying to get my hist facts right i dont even have time to study geog... i really dont understand hist matters... i never understood teocm's lessons... i intended to buy the book by Ben Walsh whcih she recommend for us. she photocopied serveral chapters that will be tested but ideclined, thinking that i will be getting the book soon. but to my horror, after checking with several bookstores for a few weeks, they only inform me this week that the book will only arrive 3 weeks later at the latest... so i had to get the extras(luckily there are extras) of the photocopies... so i spent the whole day getting the facts right.. it was only on that day that i finally know what the heck the Nazis are and until now i still dunno what Jews other than the fact that they are a race of ppl.... well... not the whole day was spent on hist... i spent some time printing out ALL (YES I MEAN ALL) of the hist notes and geog notes from IVLE, including all ppt, pdf, doc, as well as all the links inside ppts... i used up more than half of printer ink in just 1 day .... i also printed out the 72 pages document regarding land reclamation... wonders.... to think that im working on deforestation for MRP... ironically, non of the geog notes were read....

thursday....
2 tests.. geog+hist
hist was at 8am sharp... majority of the qns are regarding the treaty of versailles.. pretty simple since i focus a lot on it durong revision.. all the source based qns are on versailles and the essay you choose either "the failure of the league of nations was mainly due to the self-interests of britain and france in the 1930s" or " the great depression was a major factor contributing to the rise of Nazis in the 1930s".. of course, i chose the 1st one cos i was pretty attentive during the session and i was still not clear with nazi facts... i hope i get good grades for the test itself...
1hr later the test ended... we were suppose to "enjoy" a 10 min break before geog test comes in.. i didnt even know geog is so soon until the test papers come in... 10 min was already insufficient, when collecting the papers it took up some time and what we are left with was even less than 3 min.. i was intending to broswe through my geog cos i didnt even study it the day b4 as i was busy with hist... but it was too late...
geog test was a great suprise to many of ortus students cos almost 80% of the topics tested were on vegetations which ms cheong did not mention... she was upset when she realise that she was not informed regarding vegetation being tested... section B of the test was regarding land reclaimation was most of the answers are all "ticum ticum" one... haha... since i didnt study.... but the paper set was really not at all challenging... can see the vast difference between ms cheong's papers and this particular paper... at least i did my best....

friday....
its the celebrations of ND... i was pleased that i was able to survive through the whole parade... i was smart enuf to bring some handkercheif to cushion my tigh where the drum rests... and i held the drum throughout the parade without backing out.. i can see the great improvement from last year.. i was only holding bells and i couldnt hold it any longer.... khai boon was impressive... threw the mace 3 times and caught them all.. at 1st i thought he was going to stop the music.. ji xia dow... then benjamin who was supposingly ill still came down for the parade... then i realise that when mr bala was speaking, he was figeting and rocking up and down (saw from his shadow..) it was not like his usual self... he was rather strong and wouldnt move at the slightest bit... but when he was shaking i knew something was wrong... and he kept making sounds as if he was going to puke.. which he did... actually not puke but it just ooze out of his mouth... then every1 was encouraging him to fall out... which he did.. i was rather glad that he joined us again when the march pass was going to begin...
then went out with ms cheong, cheng yi, rui an, wei seng, dun yong, kok wei, chun meng and 1 more guy dunno his name... on the way keep niaoing cheng yi.... we were on the escalator at the MRT station and i was calling out to cheng yi to ask him some thing... but when he turned over, he was giving me a "what the fu** do you want" look (or the "eyes got cramp" look as chun meng always refer it as..) then i was not very happy with that and then i gave a "friendly" smile and said "welcome to singapore cheng yi..(he is a malayian) do you know that this is an escalator and you dont have to walk to reach to the other level?" then every1 heard and we all were niaoing him haha... even ms cheong was too "and these are advertisements", "and that is a train" hahahahaha!!! actually wanted to go for seoul gardens but i was too full, so we went for tim sum instead... we had a nice chat regarding sch and everything under the sun... and ms cheong was so tempted to go into the karaoke room in the restaurant for singing cos some other ppl were singing inside... tempting her to do the same... lol... the meal was fabulous... it costs $200+ omg... was delicious too...

saturday....
band again... but only in the morning, no outdoor afternoon... whew... it was tremendously boring as usual cos we play the band clinic again... and then played montevallo celebrations and huntington celebrations... quite ok lar.... im rather disappointed that we have yet to begin our SYF pieces... if it was my primary school, we would have practised since the june holidays... talking bout that, we got champions this year, AGAIN! 3 CHEERS JUNIORS!! but i must admit that the new timpani guy (whom i use to have a tiff with last time) was way too stiff... stiff in the sense that he does not show his emotions when he play... he was just pure hitting the drums.... and his ff was only like mf... and also went back to primary school after band prac.. disappointed that they didnt have any prac.. i was intending to get hold on some of the scores of some of my fave pieces in the past.. and of course treat my juniors to drinks which i always do when i return and also have a nice chat and catch up with ms wee (percussion teacher) since i have only return back to primary sch once this yr...

sunday....
today i was practically spending most of my time playing Red Alert 2... but then earlier in the morning my family went to donate blood at the CC... cos it was in colabration with the ND coming right up, there were performance... and there was a band playing, bendemeer sec sch band... they SUCK... im talking in the context of the percussions... they brought along 3 primier timpanis but they only use it for 1 song.... there was 1 percussion playing the drum set and when he hit the ride cymbals, he whole body was moving except the most impt part which is the wrist... he was moving his arm when hitting the ride cymbals... and there was an idiot who played the tamborine in the wrong tampo... 1 guy who played the snare drum... his roll was honestly semi-quavers...they played boring songs as well... 1 of which was this year primary schs' SYF competition set piece, March Together... there was a crash cymbal part by right but no one was playing the crash cymbals, though they brought them.. in fact, they didnt use the cymbals though they brought it... but there were several things that were rather commendable... at least they hired a truck with a roof and was big enuf to contain all the instru unlike us....

i really am not happy with this week.... i was graded a B for my project and i failed my chinese... how bad can it get?! i had never failed the main subjects ever before in my life... not being able to qualify for grand finals was fine but i only got a B... how atrocious.... worst... my juniors got a betta grade than me one got an A (their web report sucks, in terms of content, apperance of the web report, colour system everything) while the other got A* and got into grand finals.... and both are sec 1s... how am i going to face ppl.... it was like acadamic wise i have been weaker than them (they were pri sch mates too) and i thought that it is my project that can show off but....sign... i was totally pissed off with the school running system..... i finally know why ms cheong always wanted to leave... i promised myself, should the school piss me off 1 more time i am going to sign the form and switch over to NUS High which invited me to go over... i wouldnt really mind cos the emphasis are on science and maths of which maths is totally my cup of tea.... im just waiting for it to happen...

well... thats all i suppose... going to work on a maths stuff.....
